Turkish Food in Korea

I have to confess that I am not too familiar with the different cuisines that exist in the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern regions of Europe and Asia. I’m assuming it’s the same with other people who assume all Asian foods are the same. I had the privilege of dining at a Turkish restaurant in Seoul called Pasha. It was very delicious and according to my Turkish friend, pretty authentic as well.

Located off Gangnam Station, Pasha provides a wonderful atmosphere to experience all that is Turkish cuisine. The ambiance is intricately designed to make you feel like you are actually in Turkey. Their menu choices have a variety of options to appease anyone who is familiar with this specific cuisine. They also have a colorful salad bar with tons of side dish options including a ton of vegetable options.

We ordered the Adana Spicy Kebab (ground beef skewers), Lahmacun (basically a Turkish pizza), Adana Iskender Kebab (ground beef wrapped in dough with yogurt sauce), Pasha warp, some extra naan, and all you can from their salad bar. The variety of food that comes out was pretty amazing and delicious. Of course all of this was ordered to share. We also had some rice pudding dessert that was torched like crème brûlée to top it all off.

This is a great restaurant to experience the delightful gastronomy of Turkey. Pasha is a great date venue, conveniently located, and an overall great restaurant in Seoul. Don’t forget to check out their salad bar. Hoşçakalın!
