    I remember having Din Tai Fung for the first time in California and being treated to my first savory taste of their dumplings. They were steamy, fresh, and the juice that oozes out of them after you bite into them is an experience in itself. I was happy to find out that Din Tai Fung was also in Seoul, and was eager to see if the menu and quality was the same. I have not been able to find a decent Chinese restaurant in Seoul, and although the quality didn’t seem the same as the one in Arcadia, CA, it was still pretty decent Chinese food in Korea.     I remember my grandmother making me a Korea dish called 칼국수 (or “knife cut noodles) when I was younger. It has become sort of a comfort food for me because it evokes certain memories – comforting memories. This particular restaurant, which is located in Myeong Dong (a popular tourist destination), has what may be the best knife cut noodles and dumplings (or gyoza) in Korea.
